Old Window Pane Jewelry Box
I needed more storage for my necklaces, rings etc.
so I turned an old window pane into a jewelry box.
I took thin pieces of board to put in the place of the glass
drilling holes for the wooden pegs.
Then I took regular scrapbooking paper and used
spray adhesive to attach it to the boards.
I know now instead of using spray adhesive I should
of used a bonding glue such as
Bonding Memories Glue
available from my Close to My Heart consultant.
When applied evenly it does not wrinkle like the spray adhesive.
Painted my pegs black and glued them into place.
I added an old black belt to the top to hang pins and bows on.
Now everything is in one spot and easy to view as I am getting ready for the day.

The Boxes
I found old recipe boxes for $.50 each at yard sales and of course Deseret Industries. I removed the paint from some
of them by simply soaking them in hot soapy water and using an SOS pad and I sprayed painted the other ones black. Then I added a
Tim Holtz embellishments
to the top of the boxes
with glue dots so I can change the labels as needed.
